About Us
The name Hamlet comes not only from our founder’s last name, but also from the meaning behind the word itself—home, haven, village.
We believe it takes a village to help individuals grow, recover, and thrive.
Our practice is designed to feel like a safe haven: a warm, grounded place where clients can explore, heal, and strengthen the parts of life that matter most.
Our Philosophy
At Hamlet Therapy, we see therapy as a collaborative process. We work closely with clients—and the support systems that surround them, like family, friends, schools, and medical professionals—to create meaningful, lasting change.
Our goal is to help each person strengthen their sense of self while also nurturing the connections that matter most.
Our Approach
We combine evidence-based treatment with a flexible, individualized style. Each client’s path is unique, and we adapt our work to meet their needs—whether through individual therapy, family work, or skills-based groups.
Our approach is:
Evidence-based: focused on proven methods like RO DBT, DBT, and CBT
Collaborative: involving families, schools, and medical professionals when appropriate
Tailored: designed around the specific goals, challenges, and strengths of each person
Our work is done with a high level of care that one would expect from a member of their own community, their own hamlet.
meet the Founder
Alexandra Hamlet
Dr. Hamlet’s dream of building a private practice was shaped by the tight-knit, beachside community she grew up in. Surrounded by family members who ran small, people-first businesses—real estate offices, surf shops, photography studios—she saw how personal connection could make a lasting impact. That same spirit guides Hamlet Therapy today: a focus on relationships, innovation, and genuine care. As founder, Dr. Hamlet prioritizes what matters most—spending time with clients and their families, supporting her team, and ensuring that Hamlet Therapy remains a place of growth, compassion, and belonging.
